Russell Wilson has signed with the New York Giants on a one year deal, which does give them a starting option this season.
But it"s hard to see how this makes the New York Giants too much better.
Obviously, the Pittsburgh Steelers weren"t in a rush to get Russell Wilson back.
They lost him to New York, and I don"t think they"re that sad about it.
Wilson played fine for a stretch last year at Pittsburgh, but his play fell off late in the season, kind of the continuation of the struggles Russell Wilson had with the Denver Broncos.
He"ll try to revive his career with the Giants.
We have kind of a strange quarterback room at this point.
They signed Jameis Winston to a 2 year $8 million deal.
Now that"s back up.
Money so they still felt they needed a starter.

And I don"t think the Giants are going to be out on a quarterback in the draft if they like Shadoor Sanders or can move up to get Cam Ward with the first pick.
I still think the Giants would do that, adding to the chaos of the quarterback room.
Russell Wilson, just a stopgap for this year.
We"ll see if he can revive himself at all with the Giants, but the Giants do have another option to start a quarterback for them this year.
