Barcelona’s comeback win over Celta Vigo might have helped the club retain their lead at the top of the table. But it came with its costs.
For one, Robert Lewandowski could be sidelined for up to three weeks after picking up a fresh knock, whereas several Barcelona players showed their displeasure and frustration towards coach Hansi Flick for some of his substitutions.
Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati were two such players who were visibly frustrated with Flick, with the latter even kicking a bottle on the sidelines after the coach did not opt to bring him on.
Hector Fort left pitch angrily vs Celta Vigo
However, according to Mundo Deportivo , Torres and Fati weren’t the only ones to have been frustrated by Flick. Hector Fort, too, wasn’t too pleased with the German, it seems.
Fort, who has struggled for playing time all season, was one of the unused substitutes on the night. As Flick moved through the group, congratulating his players, eyewitnesses noted that Fort barely acknowledged the coach.

While most players received a hug or handshake, Fort offered only a cold gesture of disapproval. Flick appeared to notice the tension and whispered something to Fort, who quickly made his way to the locker room.
This frustration isn’t without context. Despite Barcelona playing 51 matches across all competitions so far this season, Fort has managed just 480 minutes.
He’s featured in 15 matches, but mostly in limited roles. His Champions League time adds up to just 27 minutes, with his only appearance coming against Young Boys. In LaLiga, he hasn’t played a single minute in the last six fixtures.
All in all, Flick must find a way to pacify his troops before tensions boil too much heading into the final phase of the campaign.
