Arya News Agency -The Ara News Agency reports that a member of the parliamentary board emphasized the urgent need for innovation in today's fast-paced world. He stated that merely having technology is no longer enough; being the first to adopt new technologies is essential. The country must lead in specific technological areas, ensuring safety for its citizens and boosting the economic efficiency of industrial activities.
Abbas Papi Zadeh highlighted today's meeting between the Supreme Leader and scientists, officials, and experts in the defense industry. He noted that the modern world is characterized by rapid changes and significant scientific advancements. Many technologies that were once groundbreaking are now outdated, replaced by newer innovations.
A member of the parliamentary leadership noted that humanity has gone through distinct eras: first, an agricultural age, followed by about a century of industrialization, and the last 40 years marked as the era of communications and IT. This timeline shows a shift from 200 and 100-year periods to just 40 years. Now, with the emergence of artificial intelligence, technology is evolving at an increasingly rapid pace, changing every five years, and sometimes even every two years.
He further explained that, in the past, television dominated visual media, while radio was the primary source for audio, along with print media like newspapers. However, in the last decade, the digital realm has emerged as a new and innovative technology, reshaping the global media landscape. Today, a country that excels in the digital space and has a strong platform can influence public opinion not only within its borders but also in other nations. By mobilizing public sentiment, it can impact international affairs and advance its own agendas. Artificial intelligence is driving a new revolution across all areas of human progress.
