Arya News Agency - The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced details of a conversation between Japan's Foreign Minister and his Iranian counterpart regarding Iran's nuclear program and bilateral relations.
In a statement, the ministry revealed that Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi and Seyed Abbas Araqchi engaged in a telephone discussion lasting approximately 30 minutes on March 17, during which they had an open exchange about "the situation concerning Iran, including its nuclear program."
The statement from the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Hayashi expressed deep concern about the current situation and emphasized the importance of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency. He indicated that Iran needs to take constructive and tangible steps to advance discussions aimed at a peaceful resolution of its nuclear issues.
The Japanese Foreign Minister also stressed the significance of dialogue and stated that Japan would continue its diplomatic efforts toward peace and stability in the region. The ministry added that Araqchi outlined Iran's positions and actions during the conversation.
