Arya News Agency - The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while rejecting Europe's claim that Iran is intent on stalling negotiations, stated: "We are not seeking to waste time, and it is clear to everyone that we have entered the negotiation process seriously and with the intention of reaching a fair agreement."
In his weekly press conference with domestic and international media, Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed the political developments in the country and the region. He condemned the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza and across Palestine, saying: "We believe that the active support of the United States and Western countries has perpetuated this genocide. It is a disgrace to humanity, and those who knowingly provide financial assistance to support these crimes are a global shame."
Regarding France's continued actions against Iranian nationals, Baghaei stated: "Over the past few months, the case of Ms. Esfandiari has been pursued, and our embassy in Paris has followed up on the matter through official diplomatic notes. The arrest of Ms. Esfandiari on baseless charges and for her humanitarian support of the Palestinian people is unacceptable. However, two consular visits have been approved so far."
The spokesperson added: "We have no disputes with any government regarding the implementation of our obligations under consular treaties. France's decision to file a lawsuit against Iran is not constructive. We are ready to engage in dialogue, but if it comes to defending ourselves, we certainly have our principles."
Addressing Europe's claim that Iran is stalling negotiations, Baghaei said: "It would be wise to investigate the reports and media narratives about Iran-Europe relations, as many of these destructive reports originate from Zionist regime-affiliated sources and media outlets. We have repeatedly emphasized that we are not seeking to waste time. It is evident to all that we have entered the negotiation process seriously and with the intention of reaching a fair agreement. We have always invited European parties to engage in constructive behavior."
